Under the Needle:
Domestic
Over the last few weeks I've been working on a really fun baby blanket. I cant wait to show but I'm trying to keep it under wraps till it's officially been received by the recipient. This isn't a traditional baby blanket, it has an edge to it ;)

Longarm
I'm finally getting around to quilting the 'Toes in the Sand' quilt. This is another project I pieced but will be going to a wonderful home. The piecing took a bit of time to complete, only because I had so many other projects. I love the feeling of a longterm WIP finally getting completed. Now, if I could only get to the rest of them! A lot of my FMQ inspiration for the designs from insta. There are so many shapes and shapes within shapes that the options are endless. I enjoyed the challenge of thinking outside the traditional designs to bring a custom feel to the quilt. The quilt should be completed soon, so stay tuned!
Outside the Studio
Around the house we've been slowly working on the 'pool house'. When we moved in, the pool house was unfinished. The original owners ended up selling the house before it was finished and they scrapped the pool. So we were lucky to have been left with an unfinished pool house, without a pool. Honestly, I am grateful because we have been able to design it ourselves. I didn't like the original plans. The original plans had a massive bar island in the center. But we are not big on entertaining so that space is better taken up by a couch or even table tennis! We will see. As for now, the drywall and electrical are all done. Now its time to focus on paint and tile work in the bathroom. In the next few months we'll start working on the kitchen and floors. It's a labor of love.
