Behind the Seams
I'm so excited... I can finally share a recent project. One of my sweet aunts recently reached out, asking if I can make a quilt for her soon to be grandbaby. What makes this quilt so special is that she wanted it to reflect a guitar that her husband, my uncle, gifted her. My uncle passed away of cancer and was incredibly loved. My uncle was a rock and roller at his core! Sadly I only visited him a handful of times but those times are filled with forever lasting memories.
The quit below is all foundation paper pieced and is a pattern by On William Street. It was really quick to put together. Check out the pattern here [not an affiliated link]

UFO Feature
I just got the Toes in the Sand off the longarm, just in time to load the guitar quilt. I took my time with the Toes in the Sand quilt, I didn't want to rush it. The triangle piecing was made easy with this pattern, but it was still a bit of a challenge with all the pieces. I can't wait to see it finished.
Outside the Studio
A year after moving into our new home, we finally have an official guest bedroom! I went back and forth on a location and ended up sacrificing my office to convert into a guest bedroom. My office was in a pet free space, kind of like an in-law suite. Since many of our loved ones and friends are allergic to cats, I wanted to make sure guests we comfortable. For now, I've moved my office to the main house and love it.
Current Obsession
Polly Fiber Fill! I've seen this in shops but never had the urge to buy. While working on a new project (yes, I started a new one already)... I've seeing just how versatile it is. This is only the beginning.
