Grotto Quilt

I was immediately drawn to this pattern because of the curve illusion. Would you believe it's all straight line pieced? There were a ton of pieces to cut out, but it went by pretty quick. The pattern was clear and easy to follow. I used the Alphabitties to keep all the pieces organized.

Another factor that drew me to this kit was the fabric. The ombre effect is brilliant. In fact the pattern designer said this was inspired by the Blue Grotto cave in Croatia.
