I recently completed this plus sign quilt for a client. This worked up so fast, I finished it in less than a week. I'll walk you through the process, which is easy to follow along for beginners.
Dimensions
Completed Size: 80 x 96
10 Columns and 12 Rows
Cutting Instructions:
Lets first cut strips from your fabric yardage.
Cut 3inch x WOF in White - you will need 22 strips
sub-cut 3x3 white squares - you will need 240 squares
Cut 3inch x WOF in Blue - you will need 11 strips
sub-cut 3x3 blue squares - you will need 120 squares
Cut 8inch x WOF in Blue - You will need 12 strips
sub-cut 3x8 blue rectangles - you will need 60 rectangles
Cut 8inch x WOF in White - you will need 12 strips
sub-cut 8x8 white squares - you will need 60 squares
Sewing Instructions:
There are three parts to the plus sign, which we're going to consider a 'row'
First Row - 3x3 squares
Sew a White and Blue square, right sides together
Iron to the dark side
Sew remaining White square to the other side of the blue square
Iron to the dark side
Second Row - 3x8 rectangle
Sew first row and second row
Iron to the dark side
Third Row - 3x3 squares
Sew a White and Blue square, right sides together
Iron to the dark side
Sew remaining White square to the other side of the blue square
Iron to the dark side
Sew right sides together to the second row

Now all you have to do is arrange your blocks and sew them together. Sew a plus sign block and a white 8x8 block, and continue to alternate your rows.
Its that simple and works up so quickly. You can make it as big or as small as you want!
Please share photos of the quilt top. you made.
